Dahua 5216 reset help

Hello,

I initiated a factory reset via the GUI on my 5216 PoE NVR and now the NVR does not boot up... On initial power up it gives me the Dahua logo, but then the screen goes black and the NVR beeps four times, several times. The TV indicates that there is no connection via HDMI. The NVR remains in this state regardless of how long it sits. Every time I power cycle it I get the same result.

Any ideas? I'm continuing to search the forum for other ideas too.

Just a hunch as Ive had similar happen.

Dont use HDMI to TV. Try a regular VGA cable to monitor and a direct connected mouse and try going through the machine interface like on original setup...

Thank you, ill have to pick that stuff up, as I don't have a VGA cable or monitor.

I wouldnt go buy it, see if you have a friend or neighbor to borrow one..

Does that mean hdmi is not the preferred wire method? I got the 4 beeps recently as well but nothing displaying on my monitor via hdmi.

I’m just does talking about initial setup of the NVR from a factory reset /default.

After that feel free to use hdmi
