Hi All,

I wanted to know if the Dahua VTH1660CH 10.2" indoor monitor supported viewing of the Dahua cameras and also intercom units?

I am about to purchase the following kit:

VTH1660CH 10.2" Indoor Monitor
VTO2000A Intercom - For next to the front gate
IPC-HDW5231R-Z Turret Camera - I will have around 8 of these initially
VTO6000CM Villa Intercom - For next to the house door
NVR5232-16P-4KS2 - NVR

I want to be able to answer the two intercoms from the VTH1660CH indoor monitor and trigger the gate to be opened and also be able to view my cameras that are connected to the NVR through the same monitor.

Will this indoor monitor support this?

For anyone interested I will answer my own question.

It does support it. The 7" and 10.2" screens from Dahua share the same software and can display cameras through the screen.

Did you get one? does it require a NVR or can it connect directly to the cameras?

I would assume with a NVR it may even work w/3rd party cameras like SmartPSS

I know this topic is old, but it is an interesting subject so I'll post the answer anyway.

You don't need a NVR to use the VTH1660CH with your cameras.
The VTH1660CH has onboard software and you can add the cameras and other hardware through the touchscreen panel :D

What about if you have the cameras already going through a Dahua nvr?

How do you get the images onto the vth1660?

I would assume by simply connecting the HDMI port from the NVR to the monitor....?

it is not simply a monitor...its a network display, it can display streams from cameras and in theory has 2 way audio....if it can display a camera stream it can display that same stream from the NVR, it just needs to be entered properly..

The confit bit is what I am stuck on. I can see the door intercoms but cannot get the cams on the nvr to display.

Hi BrentonSpear,

How are the Villa intercoms working out?

I am having trouble getting the 6100c and the 2000a intercoms to work on the same switch on the same screen. One of them always goes offline.

I have the 6100c at the front door and that works really well.
