Bought the I3 International HR16 16-Channel Encoder Convert HD Analog Cameras to IP.
The existing cameras are Hikvision and the 32ch DVR was Hikvision. I said was because I have already had (2) 32 ch Hikvision DVRs to stop working. Before the system stopped working I was using all 32 channels with analog cameras and ip cameras. I want to use the new encoder and some Hikvision cameras with the new NVR.
Today, I received the new system with an Anpviz 32 ch NVR, 16 ch POE switch and 21 POE Anpviz cameras. Once I can get one station operating, I intend to add two more stations. The reason that I need to use NVRs instead of DVRs is to have (3) independent stations fully customized by the user.
Before today I had never heard of an encoder to convert HD Analog Cameras to IP. The cost of the encoder is a little more than the cost of one new camera. If it works ... it is a good investment. If not, I wasted $100.
Anyone had any experience with these units? Good, bad or Ugly.
