Connecting to Dahua NVR using browser

Just got nvr, installed hard drive, did some basic setting up using the built in GUI, tried to connect to using browser on local PC and get nothing. Tried to ping through command prompt, 192.168.1.108 nothing. Installed PSS software and it seems to find the NVR but shows it offline. If I hover over it says invalid user/password.

Any ideas?

Could there be a problem with the ethernet cable you used to connect your NVR? Are you sure your LAN settings on the NVR are correct?

Got both edge and chrome working and can connect now locally.

Now trying to get p2p working on an Android phone but on the nvr p2p tab under setup, it shows offline.

If anyone knows what I need to do, chime in. In the meantime, I'll see if I can figure out how.

Ok, enabled DHCP in the NVR settings and now I can connect both on WiFi and through cellular network. Now trying to figure out how to operate the ptz remotely.
