I have a Dahua NVR nvr2104hs-0-s2 that doesn't have the IVS or SMTP feature. Is there any way I can connect my camera that is attached to the NVR to the LAN so the camera can talk to the gdmss plus directly?
What I am thinking is to remove the existing LAN cable from the NVR LAN port, connect the cable to one of the PoE ports on the NVR, changing the ip address of this port to the same subnet as the LAN and also configure camera to be in the same subnet as the LAN. Will this allow the camera to be able to subscribe to the gdmss? If that works, then I can setup the IVS from the camera and not going through the NVR setup.
