Changing Huisun Mini PTZ IP Address

I am a newbie but here is the question. I believe the IP address on the Huisun camera is 192.168.0.99. I don't know that for sure as I am waiting on the portable power supply. Anyways the addresses on my Hikvision NVR POE ports are in the 192.168.254.XX range.

So If I use SADP and change the IP address on my Huisun PTZ to say 192.168.254.75 my Hikvision NVR should then see it when I plug it in? Trying to make sure I have this right. :D
 
You could just plug the Huisun PTZ into your NVR POE port and then plug your computer into an available free port on the POE. Configure your ip address on your computer to the same subnet(192.168.0.xxx) as the camera. Then you could use the web portal on the camera to setup for the correct IP for your NVR.
 
All five of my mini ptz had 0.99
 
Ok, I've only got one so maybe my memory is a bit faulty. I know for sure it is running on 1.99 now. Why I'd change it from 0.99 to 1.99 instead of 192.168.1.2xx like the rest of the cameras is a bit of a mystery though.
 
I will change it to 192.168.1.XXX and see what happens. Using the 192.168.0.XXX did not work. My NVR is a Hikvision DS-7608Ni-E2/8P bought in December.

Unless I'm missing something here, I just looked at your OP, and you say that your system uses, "192.168.254.XXX". That being the case, 192.168.1.XXX won't do a thing for you, you need to use 192.168.254.XXX.
 
SADP will not let me change it to 192.168.254.xxx. When I look at the cameras on the NVR that is the address it assigns them. I thought I could take a short cut and assign it myself but the SADP will not let me use 254.

The NVR itself when I look at the IP on SADP it is 192.168.0.88. The gateway is 192.168.0.1. The Huisun on SADP before changes is gateway 192.168.0.1 and the IP address is 192.168.0.99.

I saw where someone else used 192.168.1.xx with success. I don't know if that will work but no harm in trying it. I can always change it back. I am new to this as you can tell.
 
Ok, it looks like I have to change the gateway along with the IP address to change to 192.168.1.xxx. Changed the gateway to 192.168.1.1 and then I could change the IP address. Well that NVR does not like that address. So I will change the IP adress to 192.168.254.75 and the gateway to 192.168.254.1 and see what happens.
 
Success. That is what was needed. You have to change both the gateway and the IP address. I did not know that. Actually the previous camera that was on port 5 that I am using had and IP address of 192.168.254.2 so I used that. The gateway I changed to 192.168.254.1.
 
Having similar issues. Had to switch my router to 192.168.0.1 from 192.168.1.1 so that it could find the camera on the default IP which was 192.1680.99.

I want to change the IP address of the camera to 192.168.1.102 so I can put my router back where it was on 192.168.1.1.

HOWEVER the Huisun doesn't seem to save my settings, this is what I'm doing:
- go to Configuration / TCP IP tab
- IPv4 Address I set to 192.168.1.102
- IPv4 Subnet Mask I've tried leaving this blank or setting this to 255.255.255.0, either way it doesn't work- IPv4 Default Gateway, I've tried leaving this blank or setting this to 192.168.1.1, either way it doesn't work
- IPv4 DNS Server I've been leaving blank
- hit save
- wait for the 60 second countdown in green to finish
- camera shows back up on 192.168.0.99

Any ideas how I can switch the camera to 192.168.1.102?
(I already have a different device on 192.168.1.99)
 
Solved my issue - even though you can login to the camera using a Mac and it appears to function except for seeing the video screen, you actually must login using a PC with Internet Explorer. Then all the fields start to populate and work.
 
you need to use the Hikvision sofytware to change the ip address as it can see devices across different LAN address ranges.

PS Yep I cant get my Mac to view the camera in any browser despite installing the plugin like you I had to use a Windows PC. You can use VMware on you Mac to run windows and I got it working with Windows 10 and IE again edge and Firefox would not work in Windows either. Checkout Security Spy (as your NVR) for Mac it works flawlessly. I have it running on an old Mac Mini to capture all my footage.

I also updated to the latest firmware last night but dont see any difference. PTZ presets still dont work. Its no great shakes though I am very pleased with this camera overall :)
