So when i try tick the box to use the camera activation password it doesn't connect.

Any ideas guys?
Thank you

As stated double check that ONVIF is enabled and if your camera is like mine you might want to also enable Adaptive Stream.. If I don't enable that on my Axis camera I can add the camera to my NVR but it will kick off all other cameras because the stream is to much of my Amcrest or Dahua NVRs.. While this might not be the case for all users it is something to check if that might be the issue..

For me, to access I click the COG in the bottom right of the cameras WebUI and there is an option there to turn on or off.. With it on I can connect to my NVRs without an issue even using 1080P at 60fps..

Try ONVIF as the protocol?
Tried ONVIF, with root and admin as username, also tried with and without "pass" as password

I don't currently have any other cameras connected to the network but thank you for the heads up as i do plan on adding another, i currently got the 8mp 30fps version but if i can get it to work im pulling the trigger on the P1448-LE 8mp 60fps because I seen someone selling for a quarter of the retail price.

I don't know fellas, i haven't connected the hardrive to the nvr yet but it should still live feed, also the camera is powered and all the hardware connections are correct. I purchased the camera new but the box was opened so perhaps it has a pre-set password from someone else is there a way to reset it perhaps? don't think i can even try connect it to my computer to bypass the nvr cause i don't have a standalone switch.

This is my first time ever setting up a cctv system and I'm failing hard

So a couple of things. My camera while I can use as 1080P it is a 6mp zoom camera.. So to reset the factory if you need to, remove power, Press and hold button, restore power and keep holding for 20 to 30 seconds until the light blinks amber..

However keep in mind that you don't have a default password for that camera. Just log in using root as a user name. Press enter and it should prompt you to set a password if you forget it then the steps above is how you can reset it back to factory defaults..
