Hello,

I cant initialize my new IP camera. As you can see from the attached pictures, the ipcamera is plugged into a POE injector, my laptop wifi settings are 192.168.1.111 and my camera won't show up if I both ping 192.168.1.108 or try using IE/Chrome at the same IP address or use the Dahua ConfigTool. Resetting the camera makes no difference.
when plugged into the NVR, the new camera does not show up in the camera list assigned a new IP by the NVR.

The NVR is Dahua/Empiretech, as is the new camera I'm attempting to setup, the
PTZ3E10X-T180

This is my 3rd camera by Andy/Dahua and is driving me nuts. The other two, no issues.

What am I doing wrong???

Please help.

I haven't used the Config tool in, I dunno, 7 years?

I just yesterday hung two new out of the box cams, a 5442 ZE and a SD5A425GA-HNR PTZ

On the 5442 I simply plug it into a NVR PoE port and within a few minutes it registers, assigned a 10.1.1.X address.
Then I login into the camera via the Blue IE icon, answer the few questions about P2P and updates and I'm in

On the PTZ it's plugged into an external switch. In a few minutes it showed up on the network at the expect 192.168.1.108 and I logged in via the NVR IE button and same as the 5442 was up in short order.

Plug it into the NVR PoE port, while plugged in open it up and use the manual default button for 30 seconds.

The wait a few minutes for it to show up with a 10.1.1.x address
(Refresh is your friend at the bottom of the camera registration page)

The NVR isn't detecting the camera, after a camera reset. It is showing the camera is drawing current, as shown in the attached pictures.

Hmmm I see it’s one of the new TIOC PTZs . It would in theory need 1IP and occupy 3 channels on the nvr

So on the camera registration page it doesn’t appear top or bottom?

First thought is power, but you show it drawing 15 watts. Specs say 12w /25 with all the circus lights.

Have you logged into the web GUI
type your NVR ip address into a browser and hit Enter.
Much better than the machine interface
