Hello im welcoming myself to the forums. Newb

Camera is ds-2cd2032-I. Brand new from aliexpress

Camera is connected to a 12v wall power supply and to the ethernet port on my laptop.

Changed cameras IP to 192.168.1.148 and the IPV4 to 192.168.1.1 via sapd. Default gateway matches

When directing browser to 192.168.1.148 page cannot be displayed. Am I missing something simple?

I reset the camera and tried it a few times but to no avail. Thanks

does sadp detect it now? Have you done a proper reset? Unplug power >hold reset> apply power while holding reset> wait 15 seconds

Sadp has always detected it and allowed me to change the IP. Yes I reset it that way. It reverted the IP to the one it came with. I changed it again but still cant access web interface. I have not tried tftp.

Thats strage...try clearing your browser or using a different browser....
When you changed the ip did you also make changes to the ports?

sure, the camera itself can report to several different ddns services.
