Can't access h264 through web?

I have the exact same problem as the guy in this post. Unfortunately it is 6 years old and the links doesn't work anymore.

I have tried downloading various hikvision programs but none seem to bite. Any ideas?

Not very specific ...

What you are looking for is the browser plugin 'Webcomponents' which if absent in the browser when you access the (unspecified) Hikvision camera or NVR will give you a download link such that you can extract a copy and install it. IE11 is the expected browser, such ActiveX plugins are blocked on most others.
Does that happen with your Hikvision device?

If not - attached is the latest Webcomponents version, 3.0.6.26
