Can Turkey's fly?

And for a big bird they can get up and gone pretty darned quick, too. Always surprises me when I see that from the ones we see here from time to time. Two or 3 running steps, a couple of wing beats and up and away!

At night they roost in the trees. They don't walk up their right! But they build there nest on the ground and that's why when we have a very wet spring, like this year, the hatch usually suffers. That is your trivia for the day... Ha hahhhahaa

BTW: The one flying in the last picture did "stick" the landing,,,,, Ha hahhahha

It looks like it's about to scream in the mic:
* FLAPS OK?
* GEAR DOWN?
* GEAR DOWN?!
* INCOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMING!
* blats *
At least, my precious chicken are doing these stupid jokes all the time when faceplanting ;-)

Thanks for the footage!

Frozen ones can't fly what so ever! WKRP found that out!
