We lost power yesterday for awhile and when power was restored, one of my dahua camera didn't come back. I can ping it but I can't access it. ConfigTool can't detect it either. I'll probably have to factory reset it but was wondering if anyone had this issue?

What is the IP address of the camera ?
Are you sure you have the correct IP address ?
Is it powered by wall power or Poe ?
What is the model number ?
Do a power cycle on the camera. Try it again.
If that does not work do a hard reset on the camera. You will need to locate the reset switch or the reset connector ?

if I remember correctly, this one is an 4431, I know the IP is correct because I keep a spreadsheet of all the IP and is using Blueiris. It's POE powered by a Cisco 3750 POE switch that's also powering a few other cameras. I've switch ports with other known good cameras ports with no success. What's strange is the switch shows activities light indicator shows the appropriate communication. (or else I wouldn't have been able to ping it) Power cycled a few times, I've did all the troubleshooting steps already that's why I kind of already knew I'm gonna need to reset it. It's just strange though
Update: So the camera is a 4433, I shorted pin 1 and 2 and confirmed that it resetted since it received a DHCP address. However, I'm still not able to access it. When I ping it, it would reply for maybe 20 seconds then go offline then it would come back for a little then repeat the loop. I'm thinking the firmware is toasted or something. What would be my next option before introducing it to my trash can?

pull it down. use a short prebuilt cable to test it.
I did not think the cameras use DHCP , the default address is 192.168.1.108.
look at your router , what subnet are you using, does the camera show up in the router.
Is it poe or power plug? You may have damage the power plug or the POE port . If POE swap the ports with a working camera. If power plug , get another one.
This is not strange at all , look at some of the posts it happens all the time after a power failure.
Note... all my equipment is on multiple UPS.

Thanks I'll pull it down and test it on a new cable. It's would strange that the ethernet cable gets damage from a power failure.
I'm already runninng a 1500VA on the POE switch dedicated to itself and another 1500VA to the PC Blue Iris is on, but I couldn't plan for a 14 hour outage. I'm officially in the market for a standby generator.

I had a power failure a number of years ago the wrecked nearly every non 120 volt wire in my house, and the equipment attached to them, the stereo, tv, speakers and wires, the alarm system, the telephones and some of the connectors, mostly caused by surges up and down multiple times,
The only time I have had long power outages is for texas hurricanes.

This one is a goner, i pulled it down connected to the POE switch with an 8" jumper. Still the same....
THe only time we have power outage here is during crazy hot days in the summer when everyone is blasting AC. Our utility company isn't setup for massive power draws. Last night though, we got Cinco De Mayo so lots of drinking out there. Someone decided that they would try to climb the power post.
Any last ditch effort you can recommend?

Are you pinging 192.168.1.108 after the factory reset? I had this problem on 2 of my cameras after I updated the firmware and it was fixed with factory reset.
You could try and let the "Dahua Toolbox" query your network and let it pick up tha 192.168.1.108 address. You might do the initial configuration from there. If Dahua Toolbox isn't able to pull firmware version and serial number, you're pretty sure your software got honked by that party boat.

Make sure the camera the only this responding to 192.168.1.108. unplug the camera and ping the address, do this multiple times over a long period , 1 hour.
Reboot your router and do it again. Make sure nothing g responds on 108. After a while plug the camera back in. Do not rush.
This may be a Chinese hack 4433 which is causing your problems. These cameras have low quality hardware.

By now I'm pretty confident that the firmware is toast. I've scanned my network and rebooted the whole house to be sure I wasn't getting any IP conflicts. Fortunately, it's a $50 chinese camera. All my but one of my cameras are actually from Ali.
ConfigTool didn't pick it up. But my port scanner picked up the camera but wouldn't let me do much to it.

Try this: hold the reset while you connect power to the camera and then continue holding for a full 3 minutes.
Just tried this and did it a step further, unplug, shorted the reset pin, plug in for 3 minutes, unplugged for 3 minutes, plugged back in for a 3 minutes. Same result
You'll need the PoE plugged in. There's not nearly enough power on a USB connection.
