By the way you can still use a camera with a fixed lens (not a variofocal lens). I see you are very serios about finding the optimal camera location. You can use a free trial of our IP Video System Design Tool to make a 2D/3D simulation of your camera locations. And even chose a fixed lens camera instead of vario lens. Fixed lens are simpler and more robust.
A camera with fixed lens is a bit cheaper.
