Hello all. New member looking for some advise on both camera and NVR purchases. We recently have had some break ins around my house and an attempted break in to my house. I put in a monitored home security system the other day and had them put 2 cameras up with the system as well - what a mistake. They are going to take them back as I couldn't even get my own license plate half way down my driveway, there wasn't a zoom function, and they just flat out were not worth the $500+ I spent on them. I would like to get my backyard and front of the house covered and I think I can do it with 2 cameras. I was looking at the LTS CMIP7442 and then possibly an 8 channel NVR but I really am clueless in this area. Any suggestions for what I should be looking into for both night time and day time surveillance? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also I've been looking around at places to buy - I've found everything on Amazon but is that the best place? Thank in advance for the help!
