I was looking at 10 TB Purple drives today and noticed something I hadn't paid any attention to in the past; 64 MB Cache vs. 256 MB Cache. How does this affect me?

A couple years ago I bought my first HDD, a Purple 4 TB, it's only 64 MB cache, and only 5400 RPM, and I know BI recommends 7200 RPM drives...so how does THAT affect me? Why is 7200 so important? (My 5400 RPM drive seems to work just fine.)

Anyhow, the 10 TB comes only in 256 MB cache, 7200 RPM.

Also, does anybody know the difference between these two drives below? Both are WD Purple, both are 10TB, both are 256 cache and 7200 RPM, but one part number is:
WD101PURP, described as Purple "Pro" Surveillance Drive, and priced at $275, and the other part number is:
WD102PURZ, described as Purple Surveillance Drive, and priced at $300. So the "Pro" drive is $25 less. :blankstare:
^^^ P/N's contain links.

EDIT: I just noticed in the Amazon photos that the label on the back of the PURZ suggests that it is designed for AI. Anybody care to elaborate on that feature?
