Hi!

What is the correct length for the CAT7 cable in the junction box? How much space is there? The RJ45 Keystone adapter also has to be fitted.

Thank you!

Like stated by Paul, as short as you can live with but long enough to facilitate being far enough away from the box while you punch down the CAT cable into a female keystone RJ-45 jack or crimp on a male RJ-45. For me that's generally no less than 12" but as long as can then be wound back into the box with the camera's pigtail attached and the cover secured WITHOUT causing a crimp in the CAT cable.

12 inches is a lot. I need about 4 inches to connect the keystone RJ45 female adapter. I put a loop in the wall behind it and can move the cable around a bit

I have some PFA-130 boxes serving two cameras. It's a pain getting it closed up, but I am able to fit two runs and two camera pigtails in the junction box.

Based on what you just posted ^^^, I'm puzzled why you even asked what you did in your first post! :wtf::idk:

The box itself is a variable too,
I switched to square boxes after coming across a post from @Wildcat_1 from some years ago, because 3-hole and 4-hole plates are interchangeable on the same box.
Perhaps a bit more room in those boxes.
@TonyR post above covers the criteria I shoot for.

The OP did also mention " Keystone adapter also has to be fitted". Which was very helpful. I never new that. I've always left it outside the mount.
