I have a large storage of blue iris video. It's about 140tb (40,500 files) of recorded video. I'm trying to figure out the best way to back this up.
My first thought is manually transfer the .BVR files to another drive. Then monthly or before updates, I can transfer the most recent files. The backed-up files will be on another computer, can I use a free version of BI to view these files and convert if needed?
Is there another way to backup these files for such a large amount that anyone would suggest?
Update: I could clone the cameras I want backup video and record as WMV or MP4. Then transfer those files. Is there any negative to these file types?
