Buck Running For Its Life

Turn up the volume if you want to hear the buck. It ran up the back stairs and along the side of the house to get to the street in front of our house to escape from the coyote. Another camera angle shows the coyote gave up and walked away.

My first thought was Cougar
Had a buck run right though my camp site one year.

I fully expected to see some broken sprinklers after that run. The path the deer like to take is pretty narrow and there are 5 sprinklers right in the middle of that path. They stand almost 2 feet high. This buck avoided them all. Deer must have good radar.

But then it probably ran right into a car.. they arent the brightest animal in PA

That coyote was like..."dang, I smell people. Think I'll stop right here."

One well placed kick from a buck that size could put that coyote off but it seems fleeing is the better option in many cases.
