Man you talk about love, you really have to love your dog to go kick a bears ass to protect your buddy.

a month or two ago we had a 12 year old special needs girl run back into her house that was on fire to save her dog and they both died. people said how foolish or stupid she was not knowing she was specials needs but I thought how much better the world would be if we all loved each other like that.

Doing anything threatening when a mama bear is with her cubs is a recipe for a bad outcome. That said, I understand the adrenaline this person felt and give her credit for taking advantage of the balancing act going on. However, one swipe of the claws and her guts would have been spilled all over the ground.

Madness. Bear will do anything to protect her cubs. As she pushes it, it almost grabs her arm. Could have been a very different outcome. Absolutely no question she wouldn't have survived being grabbed. It's highly unlikely the dogs would have come to any harm. The mother bear would have retreated after the cubs.

The young girl had an advantage because momma bear had to worry about keeping her balance on the wall. Had the bear fell into her yard, or was already on solid ground, then it would have been a disaster for the young girl.
