I have been running Blueiris on an older I7 desktop for several years without too much trouble, other than the underlying OS (Winders). I am frequently seeing ads from one of our sponsors
that offer NVR's for around $500 (plus HD's) and getting tempted to see if the grass is really greener on the other side. Like I said, other than having to deal with the LAST install of Windows in my home and all the crap that comes with that I'm trying to give myself a good reason to switch to a 16 port POE NVR, or not.
I currently have an assortment of 15 cameras, some H series, some Hikvision, most POE, and a few oddballs (i.e. Amcrest doorbell). One thing I can say about BI is that it has handled all of my cameras without trouble. Can we say that about an NVR? I also had some trouble with a not too recent BI phone app update and haven't used it since (using IPCamviewer Pro for live and desktop to look at history).
Can those of you that have switched from BI to NVR, or vice versa, post some of your stories, pros, cons, or experiences and help me decide if I should keep BI on Winders or go NVR? Thanks very much
