Hello All,

I currently run Blue Iris with Deepstack AI on a Windows machine with an i5-6500 and a Quadro K620 is also installed. I have 18 cameras running in 15 FPS, direct to disk, etc. and it all runs at about 20-40% CPU. I thinking about using the computer for something else and I have a Dell Poweredge R310 sitting around that I thought about using. I have an i3-560 or Xeon X3450 that I can install in the Dell and I could also install the K620 in it if needed to help with transcoding. It will also have Windows 10 Pro install with 16 or 32 gb ram. Wanted to get the board's thoughts on moving to this type of setup. Thank you.

Most of those a room heaters, and very inefficient energy wise.
When you can purchase good used machines like this that are quiet and use little power, why bother.

Yeah? Good computer for running BI? My old BI machine just died and I was looking to get something decent enough to run about 8 cameras. You'd recommend?

Thanks...
