Blue IRIS Mail alerts stopped working

I had configured my BlueIRIS to email me motion alerts using GMAIL as the mail server. Everything was working. About two weeks ago it just stopped working. Looking at configuration and I use the "Test" feature on the "Edit Mail Server" properties box, I get the following error:
"Error with connecting server; client handshake failed"
My gmail account is good as I am able to login to it.
So I created another account using Yahoo to see if it was Gmail, and I get the same error.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Identified the issue.... It was my AVast AntiVIrus. The Mail Sheild Agent had SSL Scanning option enabled. As soon as I disabled it, it started working.
