Blue Iris Closing after 2/3 seconds

While away, Blue Iris stopped working.
Every time I remotely started it using Admim, it would open and after 2/3 seconds close.
I have tried to:
Repair
Uninstall and reloaded BI after restarting the machine.
Still the same
Have used uninstall software to get rid of registry entries and reinstalled BI but its still closing after 2/3 seconds.

Looking at the computer it stopped working on 13/12/23 the same day Microsoft released a Security update.
I uninstalled the security update, after uninstalling BI again, and restarted computer.
Reloaded BI and, its still closing after 2/3 seconds.
Can anyone help.

A long shot but try this:
start a CMD window as administrator (windows key, type CMD, choose run as administrator)
type in the command window:
net stop blueiris
sfc /scannow

Hi. I have done that twice now.
The first scan revealed a problem and computer restarted.
But still the same problem.
I have done another scan which now shows all is good.
However, the problem is still there.
 
I need to add that blueiris did not show after I did a "Net Stop".
I also did a SC Query and again blueiris did not show in the list

Download this update from September and run it....see if it works..

Hi, before I saw your message I downloaded direct from the Blue Iris site the file dated 23/12/23(64 bit)
Its seems to have worked after I added my back up files and registration number.
However, the videos have "Evaluation Version".
How can I get rid of "Evaluation" from my videos?

This happens when you download a version after your update subscription has ended or if you uninstalled and reinstalled too many times....if you still have support then reenter your key...if it still does not work and you have active support email to reactivate you key.
 
Hi thanks for that.
When I go to settings, it only gives me the option to deactivate the registration number, and not to re enter.
Shall I deactivate and re enter?

I purchased BI version 5 a few years ago and understand that as long as I remained with version 5, my registration number would be good till I upgraded to say version 6!
The version I downloaded is 5.8.2.5 so I would have thought all would be good?

This happens when you download a version after your update subscription has ended or if you uninstalled and reinstalled too many times....if you still have support then reenter your key...if it still does not work and you have active support email to reactivate you key.
 
If you no longer have valid support then you can’t update to the latest version.

Check the date of when your support ended, then you need to locate a version of BI that was released in or before that date and install that.

There used to be a big BI release thread on this site, hopefully you should be able to find a suitable version.

Hi, Just to let you know that I reinstalled "Stable Verison 5.2.6.5 of Blue Iris 64bit 5.2.6.5" and all appears to work.

However, as soon as a camera starts to record, it stays recording even though I have it set at 10 seconds, and then, the program freezes.
So back to the drawing board as they say
 
Have just decided to purchase the update to stop any problems and hopefully all will be working now

be sure to disable auto update...otherwise you will certainly have problems...
update only to known stable versions

1)
I renewed and paid for the new BI software but I have not received an email to confirm payment etc.
Also I dont receive any emails notifying me I have received any answers to my questions!
2)
I have the Database allocation window showing where the new clips are.
I did not have this previously and dont understand why its there now.

All of this is explained in the Blue Iris built in help file.
Be sure to check your spam folder for the email.
