Blue Iris 5 Basic Support Update Policy

General BI support question. I have BI 5 with Basic Support that has recently expired. I noticed the update area is now grayed out and I am not able to update in BI even for minor 5.X updates. Can you download the latest version from the website and update (i.e., will that work once installed with a now out of support license) or do you now lose the ability to update at all once your support level has expired?

Per the help file, you get updates up to the expiration date.

It has always been that way, but up until about a year ago or so it wasn't enforced.

Fork out the $29 and support BI and get another year of updates!

If you update without renewing, you will get the EVAL watermark.

The free updates expire at the end of the year from the date when you purchased or last subscribed to BI. If you install a later update it will revert to the demo version.
