Hi All.

I was playing back footage on my BI machine from last night and have encountered a new (and strange) behavior in BI.

When I am playing back alerts if new alerts are triggered in real time my playback point will skip forward the same number of alerts.

Take the above image where I am playing back "cam5 1/14/2021 23:04:43" and 4 alerts happen while I am watching that alert. When I push my "c" on my keyboard which is mapped to next clip it plays "Cam3 1/14/2021 23:09:54" and skips over the 4 intermediate alerts. The number of alerts is skips is always corollary to the number of alerts that trigger between presses of the "c" next alert button, if 10 alerts are triggered then the playback skips 10 alerts forward from the previously played alert. Here is a pic of my playback alert list after clicking my "c" key just once on my keyboard.

Here is a pic of my keyboard mapping for clarity.

While exporting footage from last night that may take a minute or two to export and many alerts can trigger such that after the export is complete when I try to move to the next clip I have been pushed as much as 45 minutes further down the timeline. While typing out and building this post I checked out of curiosity and pressing next clip took me from 1/14 23:04 to almost 2am on 1/15, it has been windy here so my system is full of false-positive motion triggers currently.

Beyond the update to version 5.3.8.4 no other aspect of my system has changed. The previous change to my system was applying Windows Updates on 1/13 in the morning but I was able to review footage on 1/13 and 1/14 without issue.

The specs of my BI machine in case they are relevant are:
Dell PowerEdge 730XD Server
Intel Xeon E5-2630 V4 2.2GHz
Intel Xeon E5-2630 V4 2.2GHz
64GB RAM
12x Seagate 1.2TB 10K rpm SAS drives in hardware RAID-6
4 port 1GBE Broadcom network connectivity
MS Server 2012 R2
Note: BI is installed directly on the physical OS and is NOT a VM.

If anyone has any advice or suggestions I would love to hear them. I am planning on rolling back to the previous build of BI in the hopes that will resolve the issue. I would be rolling back to either 5.3.6.7 or 5.3.7.13

Thanks.

I reverted back to 5.3.6.7 and the issue has stopped happening. Hopefully it was just a broken install for me specifically and no one else will experience this issue. In a few days I may update to 5.3.8.4 again and see if the issue reoccurs.
