Hi all,
New user here. Adam from Sydney Australia.
I work in an electrical test lab where we do a lot of electrical destructive testing simulating electrical fault conditions. We have begun using IP cameras around our test cells to view and record the tests from different angles to determine pass/fail.
Some of our work can be seen here:
For some jobs we get high speed camera guys in to record 10,000 fps with $$$$$ camera gear, but for regular testing, IP cameras at 1080p 30fps have proved very valuable with the video we have been recording.
Any suggestions for IP cameras would be great, ideally we would love to have higher frame rates due to the nature of the tests, but we still see a lot at 30 or 60 fps. There is also the chance that with a big failure the camera may get burnt in the explosion, so cheaper replaceable options are good, but are happy to protect more expensive cameras from damage as needed.
