Is the BlackVue DR900S-2CH the best Dashcam currently on the market?
Apparently it uses a SONY STARVIS Sensor, but does anyone know specifically what sensor type it is?

After having two vehicles vandalized recently, I would ideally like a 2-channel system with parking mode.
I'd like to get the external battery pack for it, but they can be quite expensive.

B-112: $154 12 hours run-time
B-124: $300 24 hours run-time

Should I bother with a battery pack, or just hard-wire it? Thoughts?
Any different recommendations for quality dash-cams with parking mode?

Thanks.

I would hard wire it. You don't want to mess with a battery pack. Waste of time and money. Also the 12 hour run-time is sufficient unless money is no object to you. I had 24 hour run time and just found myself paying double when I didn't need to.

There have been overheating issues with the DR900 in parking mode. This usually occurs in temps in the low 80s or higher.

I have a DR750 and had it professionally hardwired. I've had it for almost a year and it's been reliable. I do not use the cloud feature.

From what I read, I thought DR900 handles heat better than DR750. Is this not the case?

Isn't DR900 better than DR750?

Looking at buying one of these.

I would hard wire it.
How long does it last when hard-wired, with no battery backup & is there a risk of car battery being drained?

We recently had two DR-900 installed in our two Lexus GXs. They were professionally installed with the battery backup, model B-112. Total price for both cars $1400.00
We also had the DR-750ir installed in a Toyota 4Runner that our kid drives. It great for watching what they are doing when behind the wheel. Total price installed $350.00

Spot on "Marine Sniper 62". It is well worth spending the extra money to do it right on professional hard wiring and battery back up. $1400 is fair price for 2 cars.
