What frame rate and ma bitrate setting is recommended on a 8mp Hik IPC for highest picture quality? Im constantly receiving network unstable errors. Please let me know. Thanks.

12 to 15 FPS and and I-Frame rate twice that is all you need. Obviously the highest quality would be 30FPS but would eat up storage. Go to Hikvision s website and under Support, go to Downloads, then Tools. Download the Storage and Network Calculator to determine the bit rate and storage requirements. Using H.265 and H.265+ encoding really helps on the bandwith/storage requirements.
