BI + Smartthings & or Sonos

I did a quick search and didn't see anything specifically on this.

I'm looking to see if there's a way to have BI kick off an audio alert to my Sonos system when motion is detected on specific camera. We have an alley that should get much traffic, and when it does, instead of having to look down at my phone (since it buzzes for almost anything), how could I get this to play and audio clip of something like my voice saying - "Motion in the Alley", when triggered?

Not sure what would be required for this to happen, of if BI can even do this. I currently run BI along with Samsung Smartthings and google Homes / Sonos in most rooms. Just throwing out what tech is in the house incase I need to think about integration differently for this specific setup.
 
Ok have to ask I can somewhat understand why you want this but to do understand how annoying this will be ? Setup your BI machine with speakers and see if you like getting the notifications Then figure out how to run it to Sonos . Setting up speakersto your BI machine is easy again it will be very annoying hearing the sound every time his motion just my opinion
 
BI can send a Audible alert to your pc speakers using the BI machine. Right click on the camera you want the Notification for then go to the alerts tab then to sounds an alarm using pc
 
the PC that's running this isn't hooked into any speakers. it's a VM. I know it could be annoying, but the location in question should have little or no traffic, and if someones coming down the alley at the wrong time of night, I'd like to know with having kids at home and previous burglary's near by at other homes on the street. Figuring out a way to pipe the notification through sonos or google homes would be good to be alerted in the middle of the night and take action vs finding out someone walked through the courtyard and or backyard after the fact.
 
I have both Smartthings and BI, but I'm not aware of what can be done with these two, together. Anybody could enlighten me? Thanks
 
Not sure about the Smartthings and Sonos, but you can have the BI app alert with a different sound for different cameras by configuring in the camera's alert properties tab. You can also have the alert run a script that you could then integrate into your system to play the file.

I ahve Blue Iris and Sonos do this. I have used vera in the past and now use HomeSeer. Both Home Automation systems offer plugins for BI and for Sonos, but I have virtual motions in my home automation system and in the Blueiris Alerts tab of each camera I use it to run an Http command to set motion on and off as BI detection motion and no motion.

Once I have that then in my Home Automation system I can then set conditions that say If I'm home or away and motion goes off and hasnt went off in the last 10min or so then Speak TTS or send me an alert to my phone.
