BI 4 (Release 4.6.9.4 x64) isn't controlling PTZ on Safevant S5-H130L IPHD camera.
However, ODM controls it as does the camera's web interface when PTZ Protocol is set to PELCOD at 2400 baud RS-232.
The camera has no RS-232 or RS485, only wired ethernet.

ODM PROFILES (000 and 001 - but not profile 002) show
PTZ configuration supported space as: "onvif_services.PTZSpaces"
and Focus as "onvif_services.FocusConfiguration" (In video source config).

ODM IDENTIFICATION is shown as:" http://192.168.0.178:8899/onvif/device_service"

in BI PTZ/Control, Enable PTZ UI, PTZ w/mouse cursor, and Suspend Motion Detection are all checked. (This is the same as I have for a Foscam R2, which is working correctly for PTZ)

In BI, I have tried ONVIF (OXML) with these settings:

Another IP/Port unchecked

Another IP/port - checked :8899/onvif_services.PTZSpaces
Another IP/port:- checked :8899
Another IP/port:- checked :8899/onvif/device_service

IP set to: 192.168.0.178:8899, Another IP/Port Checked :8899
IP set to: 192.168.0.178:8899, Another IP/Port Checked :8899/onvif/device_service
IP set to: 192.168.0.178:8899, Another IP/Port Checked :8899/onvif_services.PTZSpaces

IP set to: 192.168.0.178:8899, Another IP/Port unchecked

Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks in advance

first return that junk if you still can.
second, try updating blue iris, there was a recent update that improved onvif detection.
third, try using the Safevant option in the dropdown

If after the update you still have issues:

What camera brand are you using in BI? If Safevant fails, try NVT.

BTW, please have screenhunter save as JPG or JPEG, as those BMP's are 20x bigger.

thanks for the quick help.

I should have figured it was something stupid on my part. I looked for Safevant in the PTZ dropdown ( after mistakenly looking for SaVevant in the camera dropdown) instead of in the camera dropdown. PTZ is now working.

Didn't need the update, but downloaded it anyway.

TonyR - Sorry about the BMPs - I cuda-shuda-wuda converted them to JPG if I'd thought about it.

So, Fenderman, why is this camera "junk?" What would you suggest for a 18-20x zoom PTZ outdoor camera (This was $95).
I have about a week to return it.

Thanks again for the help.

You will very likely have many problems with buggy firmware, firmware that is not secure, in general it will give you heartburn one way or the other.
Look at Dahua or Hikvision internation versions.
