Where is the best deal on a reliable box to run Blue Iris?

My sister is looking for a IPCam setup and I can't in good faith recommend a DVR!

Specs
- Win 10
- enough 'jamb' to run up to 10 4M IPCams (edited: was originally 4K )
- reasonably power efficient and low noise
- run headless
- enough HD space for 7 days

You will need an i7 skylake at the least..but that might not be sufficient, when you run headless and log in remotely there is a huge cpu spike..you are looking at 80MP total at least so you will need to lower frame rates to 10 or so...
4k cameras are terrible in low light unless you are spending some serious cash on them..so i would stay away from that idea..

Recommendation: Get Win10 Pro. U can't remote in with regular Win10 if you wanna modify settings in the cameras and aren't directly at the PC.

For HD space, message @vector18, he had a great deal on WD Purple 4TB drives. Get 2 or prepare to pony up the $$$ for an 8TB drive...

Also for storage, on ebay are sellers of the purple X drives; they are refurbs. But @ ~ 150 shipped for 6TB, it is a good deal IMHO.

I'd say prowl eBay. Get the best processor you can; you are gonna need it.

Sure you need 8MP cameras? What is your goal?

Whoops, a typo... It should be 4M cams...

My drives are not refurbed. They are brand new never used. And I have several still left.
