Best indoor and outdoor cameras from Dahua ?

I'm not as familiar with other brands, but I think the 3449 would be fine for the entrance to your shop. Place no more than 7-8ft high and 8ft from the door would be the sweet spot

yes the 5442T-ZE would be a good choice.
Note its not meant to be treated like am PTZ, I wouldnt adjust focus every single day or you will lose some life expectancy. But every once in a while sure.

Front door?

Yes the 3449 Pro 3.6mm should be fine there. I’d like it lower but ok
Thanks a lot! Yes, I’ll definitely install the new one lower and a bit more to the left. I’m concerned that if I place it directly above the door, it won’t fully capture the side refrigerators. That’s why I’m considering the 2.8mm

Do you think there’s no noticeable difference in daylight video quality between the two models? I came across some discussions suggesting that the 5442 S3 Eyeball performs much better in daylight, while the 3449 Pro is better in total darkness. But since it’s far from pitch black at night in that area—there’s actually plenty of light—that’s what made me rethink the problem and thought that it would be better to ask one more time, as i realised that i forgot to mention that it's far from complete darkness in the night-time and the daylight video quality is also very important.

generally speaking that’s correct. The image quality imho is slightly better on the 5442 in IR and IF you have enough light for color (it takes more than most people think)

*Get people to show you actual images of the 5442 in color at night with movement. Talk is cheap

Again it comes down to choices:

  • do you need color at night? The 5442 needs a LOT more light to run color at night and maintain a blur free image.
  • do you need/want the ability for the camera to auto adjust from B&W/IR to Color with its own onboard white LEDs? 3449Pro
  • Do you want good two way talk and better mic’s? 3449 Pro

Looks to me like it needs to move closer to the door to get the top of the drink case out of the view
Ideally, there should be at least 2 cameras at the entrance. One facing from the door out just above it to catch traffic coming into and another facing the door to capture traffic coming out of the store
