Now running 4 PC-T5442T-ZEBs and 3 T5442T-AS's with V2.820.0000000.2.R firmware (Build Date: 2021-04-03) running on all. Haven't had any luck getting settings to stick with IE, Chrome, and Chrome with the IE extension. Just wondering if anyone had a firmware/browser combo that they found to make settings hold with these cameras.
Need to use Internet Explorer. Not Edge, not Chrome with IE tab. Plain ole explorer that is baked into windows 10. Just do a search for it - nothing to download.
The firmware was designed around Explorer so that will provide the best experience.
I've primarily used regular old IE, but I find after a given period of time, the FPS always reverts back to 30 and the iframe to something double whatever the FPS is. Also, the time settings always move an hour.
I use IE and after making a change I "save" four or five times. It's been holding settings that way. The time thing is a quirk in Dahua time zones. I have a couple of cameras set to Atlantic Time zone when I'm in Eastern to keep them synced.
Make sure you are really using IE. I never use Edge for anything, but recently, my IE shortcut in the task bar was routing me to Edge. Microsoft changed something, and is trying to force everyone into Edge. I had to go back into settings and change browser to never use Edge.

I have the same cams as you running V2.820.0000000.5.R, Build Date: 2021-07-05 firmware (Dahua Logo, Andy cams) and use Firefox. Never had any issue with settings not sticking. FPS and time are stable.
I can't explain it, but my Windows 10 box won't work completely with my 5442s with IE or Chrome. However, it does work with Pale Moon 32 bit - NOT 64 bit. My Linux Mint box works with Chrome. Go figure....
When you guys save the settings (4 or 5 times) in IE, do you log out of the camera before closing the browser window? I haven't compared whether logging off before closing makes a difference, but something tells me that it does.
