I've decided to upgrade my old and crummy NTSC analog cams with some IP cams, and would appreciate some assistance selecting a model. My proposed setup:

- 5x domes
- outdoor
- good price / performance
- ideally $100 / cam or less
- POE required (will be powered and connected to rack mounted POE switch)
- SD card unnecessary
- PTZ unneeded
- indifferent about audio
- Blue Iris to manage in a VM
- Server running Blue Iris is a beast, no hardware or storage issues
- typical usage: general purpose home security for single family residence.
- I'm very tech savvy (if that's relevant). Just need some pointers sifting through the huge list of cameras.
- I understand why 2MP cameras perform better at night, but am unsure whether the added benefits outweigh the additional image sizes realized during the day. I completely defer to the crowd for assistance.

- domes suck - get turret
- good price/ performance is what Hikvision is all about. Can't go wrong with any of them
- $100 or less puts you into Chinese gray market cams. There are 3MP/4MP turrets > $100.
- All their cams have POE

Frankly for outdoor I am only getting mini PTZ now, it's more bang for your buck right now.

Turrets are fine. Price can be over $100, maybe up to $130. Just not $200+ per camera. Was only giving an estimate, not a hard dollar figure. Thanks for your time.
