Benefit of camera detection capabilities

If I have blue iris set to detect motion, is there any benefit to the camera's face detection or other detection capabilities? Can they be used in combination?

Perhaps a better question is, can BI make use of a Dahua camera's detection trigger to lower cpu on the PC side and turn off detection on the BI side? Not that I need to save cpu (currently around 20% for 2 cameras) but just curious if there is any benefit to doing this. If none, then what good is the built it detection, is it just for people not using BI?

Face detection is a worthless gimmick and does not work.
Blue iris can use the cameras built in motion and line crossing but it's inferior to blue Iris zone crossing and motion detection.
Believe it or not many people don't use blue Iris and need the cameras motion detection.

I have had one instance where the camera face detection worked well, and only one.

Hikvision height strip camera.
Within 8-10 feet it is impressive. Outside of that range, not so much.
