Hi all. I have 2 Hikvision cameras, 1 5mp and 1 8mp. The 5 mp has a clear image day and night but the 8mp is speckled. What could be causing that? The image with the gate is the 8mp camera. I have tried several different settings.

Pure guess but looks like to much gain and sharpness as well

Sorry it was a rush post. I have a Hikvision DS-7608NI-I2/8P NVR with 1 DS-2CD2685FWD-IZS 8 MP and 1 DS-2CD2655FWD-IZS 5MP. Dnr is turned off for both.
Ignore the above I've just seen the other picture.
It looks to me that theres way too much gain which would cause that.
Turn the gain right down and put the DNR to 48.
At the minute theres a compromise with pixel mania and low light performance and I think your seeing that here.
The 4k cams at the minute do poorly in low light and the figures on the specs for the camera on the low light are 0.01.
The 8mp camera has a bigger sensor also which could also be one of the reasons the 5mp is slightly better at night.

I'll post up some day pics after work. The camera is fuzzy during the day too. I may need to log into the camera with my laptop as I can't see settings for gain in the NVR. WDR is turned off
You definately need to login on the web gui
I'd start by defaulting everything and starting from scratch in small increments to find the best balance

You need to upload full resolution images or nobody can help. That pic of the 8mp is only 704x576
That culture is still only 1080p but looks fine.
I think you might be asking more than the camera is capable of.
These cameras are great in the day but not so great in low light.
Theres a new 4mp starlight surfaced that looks like it "may" surpass the 2mp in low light but it's only a fixed lense.
But even from that 1080p sample you just posted it looks fine nice and crisp.
I've found even the daytime footage is made up of fuzzy clumps of pixels instead of a clear image. Almost like it's over processed. The 5mp beats it even in the day

But you've still not posted a full 8mp snapshot so it's kind of hard to judge.
