I am currently recording my cameras footage to a local hard drive on a PC using IVMS-4200. The local hard drive has been formatted and my PC runs the hikvision storage server.

Is there a way to backup/sync surveillance video clips from ivms-4200 to a cloud service (google drive/google photos) in a speedy manner?

If not, what methods do most people use to replicate the data as a safeguard from theft or a damaged hard drive if they are using a PCNVR storage server?

I have my NVR recording “redundantly” to a NAS in the event of theft. I would imagine you could do the same. Just point your cameras at a NAS. There are simple tutorials to be found via google

Are you recording to a PCNVR (PC with a local hd running an IVMS storage server) and then running a windows task to backup the hard drive to a nas?

I was hoping I could backup to a google drive from ivms 4200 directly without having to buy a nas. If needed, I would even consider using another software to get this done like blue iris, although I would prefer to use IVMS-4200 considering the amount of time I have put into learning the product and because its free compared to paying 50$ for blue iris. The guy in the following video use blue iris coupled with O drive to upload to amazon cloud.

some hikvision cameras have the ability to upload to google drive but mine (hikvision DS-2CD2142FWD-IS) doesn't :

I think hikvision cameras can also upload to an FTP which can connect to google drive:

hikvision can only ftp still images...blue iris can do this easily as you can record small files to a google drive...and its miles ahead of ivms....
I have removed the ftp link as that guy is a scammer and has been banned from this website. its not secure.
note that cloud is a waste of bandwidth and effort...record to a hidden NVR or nas.

No. I’m recording to a NVR, then backing up to a NAS. The method of pointing the NVR to the NAS, is the same as pointing the individual cameras to the NAS. The end result is the same. Just hide the NAS somewhere in the house and run an ethernet cable to it
