Hi Folks

I was wondering what people think of using the following as a baby camera:

Hikvision DS-2CD2452F-IW

Seen the recent chatter on Hikvision not supplying to end user , but this is available in UK at present anyway.

HIKVISION 2.8mm 5MP 2MP 1080P WIRELESS WIFI PIR MIC P2P SECURITY CUBE IP CAMERA | eBay

Ive looked at a number of baby camera and the Amcrest Pro HD seems very popular (it does have pan and tilt).

i was also thinking of using an Amazon Fire to view the camera.
Wondering do others have similar setups or opinons on this?

Meant to say just looking at the Hikvision , open to any suggestions from people with something similar , Dahua cams have also been suggested in some threads i see.

the 5mp will perform poorly in low light...
1/3 the price, hikvision rebranded...there is an entire thread on these.

Thanks , for these type of cameras what resolution becomes a problem in low light conditions?
Is anything over 2MP an issue , I'm guessing as you are craming in small pixels they don't gather much light.

Was reading the thread on the Hikvision clone Al right.

Any idea how reliable a camera and a tablet such as the Amazon Fire are?

I have the Annke model mentioned, and it works fine on a Fire tablet using TinyCam Monitor Pro.

Great to know. Thanks.
Does it do two way audio ?
Also what version of Fire tablet do you use.

Looking for something robust that wife will be happy with.
