I am hoping you nice people can help me out. I need a quick solution to collect some info on some thieves. I need very discreet pinhole cameras and a quick setup that can be hidden in my business.

I have settled on Axis and want to purchase the following:

Axis Companion Recorder

Axis F44 Main Unit

Axis F1004 (Two of these sensors go to the F44)

Axis F1025 Sensor (Goes directly to recorder as a separate cam)

Axis Mic (To plug into F44 audio input)

I am looking for a quick stand alone NVR and system that can be hidden to catch thieves. Can anyone tell me if I am missing anything? I would like to get a decent PC and install Blue Iris but I only have about 3weeks to get this going.

Welcome @BhereNow

You can get a decent PC and Blue Iris setup w/in 3 weeks if you have same spare time to do it, or are willing to hire help.

fyi - most of us go for better quality images / video available from your larger traditional style cameras instead of the smaller "hidden" cameras.

Do remember to check all the appropriate legal boxes for your setup...

I am definitely willing to hire someone to help design. I am willing to buy a pc. I just was hoping for the easiest and fastest method to get video unknown to the perpetrators. I have checked the legal boxes and am looking to install in a means that is not illegal. Common areas.

I guess my question is: should I go for a decent new dual nic pc and blue iris with some pinhole cams and a poe switch? Or should I try the axis companion route. It seems that the companion set up is quick and easy. I need remote viewing and complete stealth.

I am prepared to buy a high end server / workstation for this setup with blue iris if I can get it set up quick. I can then purchase a poe switch and all the ip cams I need. Just confused about which way to go. The companion NVR and F44 main unit with sensors is already up to about 2500. I am thinking that a new workstation and a few cams would be about the same price and perhaps more reliable. But I need the speed and ease of set up. I am reading and trying to get to a decision.
