Hi all,

Our neighborhood has Amcrest and Dahua cameras recording to an Amcrest NVR. While it is certainly functional and works with the Amcrest View Pro iOS app, it's not the easiest to quickly look up events that occurred. The Amcrest Surveillance Pro macOS app is also not the best.

What are some good iOS and/or macOS apps you recommend to be able to connect cameras to review motion events and playback camera footage? Blue Iris iOS app would require a dedicated computer to run Blue Iris 24/7, correct?

Yes. The Blue Iris app is easy to use and easy to locate events. It is recommended to have a dedicated machine running Blue Iris.

No, the blue iris app simply logs your mobile device into the blue iris program running on the cpu. All the functions and processing is done in the program.

Gotcha, unfortunately we don't have the ability to run Blue Iris on a computer at this time, so I'm looking for app recommendations to be able to log directly into cameras to review footage recorded to the SD card.
