Anyone know why I can't access my poe cams through a switch in between another switch and cam

I put a generic TP link switch in between the HP switch and camera and I'm not able to access the cams unless I am directly plugged into the HP switch.

Setup I want Cams > HP Switch > Single Cat Cable across house > Switch > Computers

Here is the TP link switch. It's unmanaged and has no interface or anything.

Would a different switch work? I hate having to run multiple cables all through the house.

What is the length of the cable for the single run. Did you buy the cable or make it. Is the cable single strand copper ? Is the cable T568B standars

Also the TP-link is a green product to manage power. I have dropped all by green ethernet products in the garbage, they do not work well in a camera IP environment, underload.

I have the Blue Iris PC connected to a switch, The switch is connect to 4 other POE switchs around the house, These poe switches are connected to the cameras.

It is recommended that the switches should not be in the attic

Provide manufactures and part numbers for the router and all switches.

Made the cables. The run is about 220 feet poe and then in the house about 40 feet. It's very possible it's just the tp link switch causing the issues. Just wanted to get feedback before buying something else. Would a managed switch in it's place (non green) work. Which one would you recommend?
 
Provide a simple drawing.. I do not understand the 220 ft POE cable
 
So.. the HP switch provides power to the cameras? Agreed, a diagram might help clarify this.

My understanding is that your 220ft cable run is between the camera and this HP switch. If you're able to manage the camera with a computer plugged directly into the same HP switch, that probably rules out the long cable run as the culprit.

The two switches should handle Auto MDI/MDX (crossover or uplink) between themselves, but if one of 'em is old, maybe not. I use several TP Link smart & managed switches at home and they've been pretty reliable. I don't use any of their "green" or dumb switches, though.

Also, ports have been known to go bad, so you might try swapping ports between switches to see if that makes a difference. Do you have a computer you can plug into each switch so you can try pinging back & fourth?

Problem solved, tried another Asus switch I found and it worked. Guess the TP Link switch was the problem. Thank you.
