I inherited a nvr system from digitalwatchdog the VMAXIp system which comes with DWC-BVI2IR cameras.

I would like to get rid of the nvr but keep the cameras for use with Blue Iris or another nvr. I am not sure if they are
usable in any system other then the VMAXIp.

I cannot seem to find a way to access the cameras when just connected to my network without the nvr. I was wondering if anyone has any
info on how to go about doing this?

When connected to the nvr, it runs on its own network but without the nvr I am not sure how it should be setup.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

The product literature mentions things like:
The cameras are uniquly engineered to work with the NVR by enabling complete camera control from the NVR's familiar VMAX GUI. This includes auto network and image settings, all managed from the NVR's local GUI, with no need for additional software.
Which may imply that any human-usable direct management access may be quite limited.
And no mention of de-facto standards such as ONVIF.
However the camera huge firmware bundle appears to include a finder program - though what it does is unknown:
