Any benefit of a video card if I already have QuickSync?

I got a 4K monitor, and I’m struggling to get my PC to output 60hz at that resolution (stuck at 30hz). Cable, integrated graphics chipset, monitor, should all support it. But still can’t figure it out. Was debating adding a video card, assuming that’ll give me the 4K 60hz.

I already have QuickSync. Would the right video card give me any hardware encoding or decoding benefit in Blue Iris? Or no, because it’s already using QS?

I use quick sync for camera video processing. I use a video card to drive the monitor. The video card uses additional power, so when the monitor sleeps, power is down. The CPU mother board did not have an HDMI connector.

Get a video card that will drive you monitor. Do not use it for camera video processing.
