I use Avira with Superantispyware and Malwarebytes as backups on-demand. Work great, all free.

As the go to gun guy in the office and firearm instructor, I have had a lot of these discussions lately, we have a lot of millennial workers.

I wrote the attached and now ask them to read it before they get in my face to begin their rants.
Does it shut them down?

Excellent wirte-up my friend. I owe you a beer next time I'm in the land of the mouse! ;)

My daughter is in her mid 40's, she's upper management at USAA, and she's always telling me most of the current crop of employees, now coming into the work force, are total and utter buffoons. She's concerned that by the time those same folks get into political power we are really, really screwed.

They're the first generation to think the 1st Amendment shouldn't apply if someone's feelings get hurt. That is truly scary.

Don't really want to get involved with the political side of this thread - please don't assume that means I'm against you guys & NRA...

I just wanted to chime in and say that I've been using Bitdefender for the last few years and have been very happy with it. You can usually find a decent deal on it at Fry's with their daily/weekly promo codes (along with some other AV products).

I will mention that when I recently started down this BI & IP cam path I had a hell of a time getting to the management interfaces of my tp-link switches, maybe even the IP cams (I can't remember now). Came to find out that it was something Bitdefender was blocking. I tried to make rules to allow the connection, I even turned off modules (firewall, threat, etc.) and could never get the connection to work and in the end I had to remove the Bitdefender AV.

I still have licenses and still like the product - I'll likely put it back on and try to figure out what the deal is.

Good luck with whatever you choose!

This is why I prefer Microsoft's antivirus. When something breaks on your computer, a 3rd party AV is just one more thing to suspect and troubleshoot.

Eset Nod32 Antivirus. We’ve been running it for years and have had ZERO infections...and we employ quite a few John Podesta Numbskull Clones (JPNC’s) too!

Reasonably priced. Rock solid.
