Annke WZ520 (PTZ)

Hello,

I've just received the Annke WZ520 PTZ camera.

I did not know before buying it that this cam is tiers app dependent... But anyway, my security system is based on (my favorite) app BlueIris.

Trying couple of settings, I finally succeed in getting the video stream but impossible to get the PTZ working.

I tried manually with some curl command, I also tried with the script made by somebody of this group (@tedly ) for the WZ500 but... nothing to do. and, BTW, the cam doesn't have a webpage for settings, everything has to be done through the app...

Could you help me please ?
 
Funny thing is and not sure if it is related. So the other day after 6 months of no access to my WZ500 besides on Bi and my PTZ access was still working so I just left it as it was.. Anyway I reset the camera back because I wanted to use White lights again. I then logged in to WebUi because the WZ500 does offer one. Setup password so it was working again in my Bi. But PTZ wasn't. I tried for over an hour and thought what have I not done yet. Setup on App.. So I logged into the Annke Dumb app and closed it and sure enough the PTZ is working again in Bi I am not sure how or why but for me that was what I needed.. If you removed from app and setup in Bi without trying to connect to app. I would connect to app for the Annke Smart and see if your PTZ comes back in Bi..

Hello !

Sorry for my reply's delay. I switched to another Annke cam test and now back to this one.

First of all, you will have to enable Onvif function in the Smartphone Cloud Edge application and set a password.

Then, in BI you will have to set the following :

address :
user : admin

Password : the one you set in the Onvif prt of the apk

Make : Generic/ONVIF
Model : RTSP H.264/H.265/MJPG/MPEG4

Media/video/RTSP port : 8554
Discovery/ONVIF port : 8000

Video path : /Streaming/Channels/101
 
Thanks for your reply, I did get it working some time ago but the device uses very high compression and or very low bit rate.
Also the minimum zoom level is not wideangle but already zoomed in a lot.
The AI functions do not work out of the box but need a monthly subscription, this was never mentioned in advertisements / documentations.
The device is not a True Annke device but a rebranded model.

I got my money back and decided to go for the Reolink Trackmix PoE, it is a bit more expensive but it was worth it.

Only get the Annke WZ520 PTZ if you need the ultra zoom and do not need the AI or smart tracking functions.

I completely agree with you as I made the same statement. I was wondering if a software flash would be possible but I can forget about I think...

On my side I kept it as Annke wanted me to pay the return costs. Anyway I'll try to sell it !
