Android Hik-Connect Playback issue

I currently have ivms-4200 installed and using the storage server to record 24/7.

Everything is working fine.

Using the Hik-Connect app on android outside the network I can view the live feeds but can’t access the storage server unless im connected to the home network.

I would like to be able to view this outside the network and im sure this can be done; can anyone help me with any settings I need to change?

Hello there,

Hik-Connect had the same problem with DVR/NVR's with older firmware.
If you would upgrade to newer versions than 3.7.5 3.8.0 it would work properly.
So question is what version of ivms are you using?
Make sure you have the latest version and i think it will work.

Im using iVMS-4200 V2.6.1.2

It conntect fine to the cameras registered with Hikconnect. It just the storage part of IVMS4200. Any ideas?

No i have managed to add the storage by scanning the code. So i can view recordings fine on my local network.

This issue is when im out the house.
