Did a software upgrade on my phone last week to Nougat and now my geofences is all wacky. Prior to the upgrade it worked flawlessly for about a month.

It only changes profiles when I open the app on my phone. When I'm home it occasionally switches me to 'outside' and then about 20 minutes later back to 'inside' without the phone moving.

I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled the app on my phone twice. I removed my phone from the 'mobile' tab each time on the PC app, rejoined the phone, and configured the geofence settings. Restarted both the PC and phone. I've tested the geofence radius all they way up to 3.2km with the same results.

I'm running the latest versions on both the phone and PC.

Blue Iris 4.5.3.2 x64 on a Windows 10 PC
Android 4.5.3.2 on a Samsung S7 Edge - Android Version 7.0

Any known issues at the moment or does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

Hard to say what is wrong; I don't use geofencing. But maybe the Android update changed something about the way Google's location services work. Like some battery saving feature that makes the GPS not stay on long enough to get a proper fix.

You should at least contact the developer. If other people have the same problem and contact him about it as well, he will put a higher priority on investigating/fixing it.

I forgot to mention, I checked the power settings too. I added Blue Iris to the 'unmonitored apps' group so that it isn't disabled. Maybe something is missing there. The power settings do look different, so maybe I'm missing something there.

I'm passing this along to the developer as well. Thanks for the input.
