Hello, I have been trying to get two way audio to work with the android blue iris app for some time now. I can listen to the camera just fine through UI3 web page or through the blue iris android app, but I am not yet able to talk through the camera microphone to someone in the room.

I am able to do this with Tinycam just fine when I use the RTSP port, but I would prefer to be able to use the blue iris app.

I have pasted some screenshots of the settings that I have tried based on things I saw on this forum, but nothing has worked. For this specific camera, the HTTP port is 4009, and the RTSP port is 1559. I have tried more combinations of these ports as well as trying Dahu for the make of the camera, but nothing allows me to talk to the cameras through the phone microphone.

Please tell me if there are other settings windows that would help diagnose what I am doing wrong.

Thanks in advance!

What version of blue iris are you using? The latest update had a change to the amcrest audio. Dont waste time changing ports from the default..it's has zero benefit and can cause issues.

Hi, I am using version 4.7.8.1. For the android app I am using version 2.0.58

If you think the ports is causing the issue, then I can change them back. I have 12 cameras, but I'm guessing that they could all use port 80 for HTTP and 554 for the RTSP?

I don't see anything about Amcrest audio changes in the changelog.

its not in the change log but mentioned in the update prompt
yes all 12 can use the same ports

Hi, I went ahead and tested it with one camera, and it seems like changing the HTTP to port 80 and RTSP to 554 made a difference, as I can now talk through the android app, but now I cannot access the amcrest camera from and internet explorer window because I used to have a seperate HTTP port for each camera that I could put after my DDNS address.....example: this.is.myddns:4009. Is there a way that I can overcome this? I can access the amcrest setting page when on my lan because I can put the local IP followed by port 80.

First of all you don't want to expose these cameras by port forwarding them to the internet... They will be hacked...
Second even if you did you can keep the ports the same and just change the external port but it would be extremely foolish to portforward the cameras. You're using blueiris there's no need to port forward the cameras themselves...

Okay understood. I will make the appropriate changes. There were occasions where I wanted to change something on an individual camera, but I guess I will just use remote desktop to access the server and then log into each individual camera as needed using a web browser. Thanks for all your help!
