I’ve been using a Hikvision DS-2DE3304W-DE to feed images along with my weather station to WeatherUnderground. I have one camera which sits on a pier overlooking Buzzard’s Bay.
I’m disappointed with the quality of the images... the amount of sun glare from the dome enclosure washes out the image 9 times out of 10.
So, I’m looking for an alternative PTZ POE 2/3MP IP camera which supports live streaming and remote control/image capture via http (similar to Hikvision’s ISAPI interface), probably a turret style.
I looked at the current Hikvision and Dahua offerings, and it seems I would have to take out a small mortgage to buy something, with prices for a 2MP at $1500.
Anyone have suggestions ?
