Hi all,
Looking to see if there are any alternative mobile software options (iPhone/iOS) for the Amcrest AD410 doorbell. I'd like something that notifies me when the doorbell is rang and allows me to answer a call from it.
My preference is to keep the doorbell OFF the internet, but I'd consider reconnecting it for the right software.
What I've found:
Amcrest Smarthome is clumsy. Definitely have to have the doorbell connected to the internet, or it doesn't work at all. When answering a call, it puts the video in to landscape mode which is awkward (at least it dd when I was using it months ago). I often miss the call by the time the video loads.
DMSS is much simpler, quicker, and I can get it to work with port forwarding when the doorbell is off the internet, but I don't get push notifications when I do so. Plus its notifications are a little ambiguous on iOS.
Synology Surveillance Station is unreliable. I'll sometimes not get doorbell notifications, and there is no easy way to answer a call. Plus it has no decent intercom functionality.
Thanks in advance!
